Athyrium filix-femina - Lady Fern

A graceful and versatile lady fern, Athyrium filix-femina features lacy, lance-shaped fronds of bright green that arch elegantly on slender, tinted stems. Clump-forming and slow to spread via shallow rhizomes, it typically reaches 24–36 in (60–90 cm) tall and 24–36 in wide, making it ideal for woodland gardens, shady borders, or along streams and ponds. Native to moist, humus-rich woodlands across the temperate Northern Hemisphere, it thrives in part to full shade with medium to moist soils and tolerates dry spells once established. Low-maintenance and deer- and rabbit-resistant, this fern brings delicate texture and year-round structure to shaded landscapes
