Athyrium orophorum - Limelight

A striking eared lady fern, Athyrium orophorum ‘Limelight (also known as Limelight Lady Fern) presents vibrant lime‑green fronds emerging on rich burgundy‑red stems, gradually maturing to deeper green. It forms a neat triangular mound reaching about 18–24 in (45–60 cm) tall and wide, making it perfect for front-of-border accents, shaded containers, or woodland gardens. The lush foliage thrives in part to full shade and humus-rich, well-drained soil, bringing low-maintenance elegance to moisture-loving shaded spots. Deer- and rabbit-resistant and easy to grow, this fern brightens shady areas with color and texture throughout the growing season.
