Lewisia cotyledon ‘Sunset Strain’ forms a charming evergreen rosette of fleshy, spoon-shaped foliage just 6–8" tall (15–20 cm) that spreads about 8–12" wide (20–30 cm). From late spring into early fall (May through fall), it blooms in stunning sunset hues—apricot, salmon, pink, peach, yellow and even white—on slender 6" stems. Ideal for rock gardens, containers, or crevice planting, it thrives in sharply draining, gritty soil, prefers full sun or morning sun with afternoon shade, and benefits from drought-like dry conditions once established. It's hardy from Zone 4-9.
