Gaillardia Torchlight produces large vibrant flowers on bushy plants that adds vibrant contrasting colours in borders, pots or containers. Flowers late in the first year from sowing. They attract bees and butterflies well which makes them a good pollinator and perfect for cutting.

Approx. 50 seeds

Sow indoors, February-April, in trays of seed compost, just covering the seeds. Keep moist and warm at 15-20°C (60-68°F). Thin (prick out) to other trays or small pots when the seedlings have developed 2-4 leaves. Harden off and plant out in late spring, spacing 30cm (12”) apart.

Outdoors, May-July, in a seed bed. Keep moist. Thin seedlings as they develop. Transplant to flowering position, September-October. Flowers: June to September, the same year from an early sowing.

Divide every 2-3 years in early spring. Avoid planting in heavy clay soils.
