A great tasting, high quality variety ideal for successional sowing in patio containers and ‘cut and come again’ harvests of tender and nutritious ‘baby leaf’. Prefers moist, fertile soil or compost. This superb modern variety is resistant to downy mildew races 1-7 and slow to bolt which makes it ideal for 'baby' leaf production or use as regular spinach. This is the variety most sold in the supermarkets as baby leaf spinach.
Approx. 250 seeds
Sow seed 1.5cm (1/2") deep in fertile, well drained soil, after last spring frost. Germinates in 7-14 days. If grown as baby cut and come again baby leaves, space 15cm (6") apart. Harvest when 10cm (4") tall. Successive sowings every 2-3 weeks will ensure a continuous supply of leaves. Harvest mature plants from July.
Pick individual baby leaves as required to encourage further growth, up to 3-4 cuts.
