ORNITHOGALUM SAUNDERSIAE - STAR OF BETHLEHEM

Elevate your garden with the dramatic and elegant Ornithogalum saundersiae — also known as the Giant Chincherinchee. This bulbous perennial produces tall flower spikes reaching up to 1.5 m (5 ft) topped with numerous pristine white, star‑shaped blooms each with a striking deep‑green to black ovary centre. Ideal for making a bold architectural statement in borders or for cut flowers, its lush dark green, sword‑shaped leaves create an attractive backdrop before the blooms appear. Native to southern Africa, this striking plant thrives in sunny, well‑drained spots and naturalises into dense, stately drifts when properly sited.
