Penstemon - Dakota Burgundy

Penstemon ‘Dakota Burgundy’ (Penstemon digitalis ‘TNPENDB’) is a glowing standout in any sunny garden. This compact perennial showcases glossy, purple-black foliage that provides striking year-round interest and dramatic contrast even before it blooms. Come mid to late summer, tall spikes of lavender-violet tubular flowers rise above the foliage, attracting hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies. Drought-tolerant once established and hardy to Zone 3, it also offers showy seed heads that extend visual appeal into fall.
