Bright yellow, cup-shaped flowers atop sturdy plants open in the evening and on cloudy days throughout summer. Flowering effect is dramatic, making this an excellent addition to mixed flower borders. Naturalize in open, sunny areas. Small birds are attracted to the abundant seeds that develop in late summer. Water until plants are established, minimally thereafter. Biennials bloom in second year, produce seeds and die.
