What you need to know to Plant & Grow
The growth requirements for pole beans are mostly the same as for bush beans, but with one key difference: they need a sturdy vertical support.
Planting: Sow seeds in a sunny location with well-drained soil after all danger of frost has passed. Germination occurs in approximately 10 days.
Care: Grow your pole beans on a trellis, open weave fencing, or on bamboo or pole teepees. Securely anchor any temporary structures to prevent collapse during the growing season. Make sure to provide supplemental watering during drier weather. To ensure continuous production of the flowers and pods, pick mature pods regularly.
