Rodgersia aesculifolia

Unmistakably commanding, Rodgersia aesculifolia—often called Fingerleaf Rodgersia or horse-chestnut leaf Rodgersia—is a bold, architectural perennial prized for its dramatic foliage and towering summer blooms. The coarse, palmate leaves (often resembling a horse chestnut leaf and reaching up to 25 cm long) form lush mounds that can span up to 1 m wide. In early to mid-summer, these are topped by impressive, fragrant panicles—up to 60 cm tall—of star-shaped creamy-white or softly pink flowers. Hardy and award-winning (Recipient of the RHS Award of Garden Merit), this species effortlessly anchors woodland gardens, moist borders, and water-edge plantings.
