Amaranthus caudatus 

Striking, pre-1700 annual heirloom. Thick-stemmed, 3-5 feet tall with large edible, light green leaves. Multiple crimson, rope-like, dangling flower necklaces. Prolific amounts of edible seeds. Attracts numerous pollinators.

Sowing depth: For tiny seed cover very lightly, otherwise sow no deeper than 2-4 times the seed diameter. Direct seed to garden, late spring.
