Italian heirloom. Deep purple colour. Ripens to a deep wine red. Excellent producer of narrow tapered 6" fruit. Traditionally used for frying but also great fresh.

Still waiting to see if seeds are viable

"Received seeds in timely manor. Planted 3 cells (2 seeds each) 3 weeks ago, but haven't had any germinate yet when most of my other peppers (have over 20 varieties) are already up. I'm using a soil free potting mix which has prevented damping off that I was plagued with last year. I replanted another 3 cells again today hoping that it does better. Not using a warming pad because the room I've got my plants is warm enough."
