Salvia verticillata ‘Purple Rain’, commonly known as whorled sage or meadow sage, is a graceful, mid-height perennial renowned for its richly colored flower spikes and exceptional pollinator appeal. Selected by renowned plantsman Piet Oudolf, this cultivar stands out for its densely whorled purple blooms set off by arching reddish flower stems above a fuzzy mound of heart-shaped green foliage.
