Schizachyrium scoparium - The Blues

A stunning native prairie grass cultivar prized for its steel‑blue foliage and erect, broom‑like clump forming habit. In late summer, it produces fine silver seed heads that add delicate texture, while sunny positions intensify its unique foliage hue. As temperatures drop, the leaves flush burgundy‑red to copper, offering striking seasonal colour contrast. Low‑maintenance and drought‑tolerant, 'The Blues' is ideal for ornamental borders, rock gardens, and wildlife‑friendly landscapes.
