Eryngium - Magical Silver

A striking, medium-tall sea holly, Magical Silver is celebrated for its frosted green-silver thistle-like blooms atop rigid, silvery stems reaching approximately 28 in (70 cm) high and 15 in (38 cm) wide. Its metallic, spiky flowers appear in summer, offering long-lasting interest in borders and containers and holding up well as cut or dried arrangements. Exceptionally tough, it thrives in poor, well-drained soils under full sun, tolerates drought, and remains largely maintenance-free. Butterflies and other pollinators flock to its nectar-rich flower clusters, while deer and rabbits generally avoid its prickly foliage.
