Sedum - Matrona

Sedum 'Matrona' (also known as Hylotelephium 'Matrona' or Matrona Stonecrop) is a striking upright perennial celebrated for its sculptural form, stylish foliage, and long-lasting floral display. It forms a vase-shaped clump of fleshy, gray-green leaves—often edged in bronze—and bears flat-topped clusters of pale pink star-like flowers in late summer, transitioning to soft mauve and chestnut tones in fall. The blooms and seedheads linger through winter, providing structure and offering food for birds. Exceptionally heat- and drought-tolerant, deer-resistant, and pollinator-friendly, this cultivar has earned the RHS Award of Garden Merit for its enduring garden performance.
