Very finicky

"I bought one of these a few years ago, and it’s always been finicky, but I put that down to user error (not enough sun). But now it’s in a completely open area and the motor goes on and off and can’t sustain the fountain. It is in full and direct sun except for the shadow cast on the fountain BY THE FOUNTAIN. It’s so finicky, that if there is a shadow the width of a pencil from the device itself, it stops working. It’s too expensive to function in such a limited manner. I’m very disappointed."
