Thalictrum - Rochebrunianum

Elegant and ethereal, Thalictrum rochebrunianum, commonly known as Lavender Mist Meadow Rue, is a tall, airy perennial prized for its delicate foliage and soft, misty floral sprays that float above the garden in mid to late summer. Its fine-textured, bluish-green leaves resemble those of maidenhair fern, creating a lacy backdrop. From mid-summer into late summer, deep purple stems rise 4–6 ft above the foliage, holding loose clusters of lavender‑pink blooms with pale yellow stamens—lasting up to six weeks. Native to Japan and Korea, this deer‑ and rabbit‑resistant perennial is exceptionally eye‑catching as a structural border plant or in naturalized meadow settings.

  • Lavender‑purple pendulous blooms
  • Bluish-green fern-like foliage
  • Deer & rabbit tolerant
