Veronica – Purplegum Candles

Veronica 'Purplegum Candles' is a compact and vigorous spike speedwell prized for its dazzling deep-purple flower spikes atop glossy green foliage. Blooming richly from late spring into autumn, this variety often reblooms when spent spikes are pruned, offering season‑long color. Growing to about 8–10″ (20–25 cm) tall and spreading 8–12″ (20–30 cm), it makes an eye-catching groundcover or bedding plant suited to containers, borders, or mass plantings. Thriving in full sun to partial shade in average to moist, well‑drained soils, it's low‑maintenance, disease‑tolerant, and acts as a pollinator magnet while resisting deer and rabbits. With its long bloom period, neat mound and striking flower contrast, ‘Purplegum Candles’ brings bold, reliability to sunny garden spaces.
