Astilbe arendsii – Sugarberry

A charming dwarf astilbe sporting soft shell‑pink, triangular flower plumes that rise above a tidy mound of glossy, deeply divided dark‑green foliage. Reaching only about 10 cm (4″) tall and 35 cm (14″) wide, it’s ideal for edging, containers or the front of a shade border. Blooms in early to mid‑summer with densely packed, plume-like flowerheads that are excellent for cutting or attracting pollinators. Prefers consistently moist, well‑drained soil in partial to full shade and is easygoing, with good deer resistance.
