Astrantia major – Star of Beauty

A captivating Masterwort featuring graceful pincushion blooms in rich magenta-pink with crisp white centres and burgundy-tinged bracts, set against a backdrop of lush, mid-green, deeply lobed foliage. Blooming from early to late summer, this vigorous cultivar continuously produces fresh flowers if regularly dead-headed, adding long-lasting charm to any garden. Compact and clump-forming, it reaches approximately 50–65 cm tall and spreads 45–60 cm, fitting beautifully in shaded borders, cottage-style plantings, and containers. Adaptable and easy-care, it prefers moist, humus-rich soil and is deer-resistant, pollinator-friendly, and excellent for fresh or dried floral displays.
