Miscanthus giganteus
A towering, bamboo-like ornamental grass, Miscanthus × giganteus forms massive clumps of deep green, arching foliage up to 10 ft in height. In late summer to early fall, feathery, silvery-tan plumes rise above the foliage, later aging to autumnal bronze and tan, and standing through winter as striking structural elements. A sterile, non-invasive hybrid, it's hardy, drought- and salt-tolerant, making it ideal for windy sites, coastal settings, or large privacy screens.
