Papaver orientale - Harlem

Papaver orientale ‘Harlem’—known commonly as the "Harlem Oriental Poppy"—delivers a dramatic and extended floral display perfect for gardeners craving long-lasting color. This variety produces large, double, ruffled blooms in shades of burgundy‑rose to boysenberry, featuring deep purple eye zones and darker blotches at the base of each petal. The crinkled, crepe‑paper–like petals appear first in late spring into early summer and then return in a second bloom in late summer. Its silvery‑green, fuzzy foliage remains attractive longer than many other Oriental poppies and continues to add texture even when the plant enters dormancy.

  • 1 Bare Root
  • Double, ruffled burgundy‑rose blooms
  • Reblooming (late spring & late summer)
  • Deer & rabbit resistant & pollinator-friendly
