Tradescantia - Snowcap

A striking spiderwort with pure white, triangular petals—each about 2–3 cm wide—that open in the morning and fade by evening, while abundant clustered buds ensure a long flowering season from late spring into summer. The upright, dark-green, strap-like foliage forms tidy clumps around 18–24″ tall and wide, making it ideal for borders, containers, or moist, shaded garden edges. Hardy in zones 3–9 and low-maintenance, it thrives in full sun to shade with consistent moisture, occasionally requiring a mid-summer chop to renew blooms. Wildlife-lovers will appreciate its appeal to pollinators like butterflies and bees.
