Tradescantia - Zwanenburg Blue
A charming clump-forming perennial, Tradescantia 'Zwanenburg Blue' (also known as violet spiderwort) produces rich violet-blue, three-petaled blooms with bright yellow stamens throughout early summer into early fall. Each delicate flower may last only a day, but abundant buds ensure a long flowering season. Foliage consists of mid-green, grass-like leaves on upright stems, creating a lush mound—ideal for moist, fertile soil and border plantings. The plant is easy-care, deer- and rabbit-resistant, and attracts butterflies in sun to part shade sites.
